Hey everyone!

In a couple of months I will be finished with my exams and then I hope to build my very first gaming PC.I don't want something extreme, just something that will play the new games in the highest settings possible. I have a very basic knowledge of computer building. The only things I know are:
- How to know if the parts are compatible with each other
- How to build the Pc and how to connect the cables (based on the youtube videos I've watched)
- Only the general idea of overclocking

As you can see my knowledge is preety limited. I've done a bit of research in partpicker.com and I have come up with this build(all the prices are from Amazon in Europe):

CPU : Intel - Core i7-8700K 3.7GHz 6-Core Processor- 349.99€
CPU Cooler : Cooler Master - Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler- 28.39€
Motherboard : Gigabyte - B360 HD3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard- 99.24€
RAM : Kingston - FURY 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 Memory- 180.57€
SSD : Samsung - 860 Evo 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive- 103.99€
HDD : Seagate - Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive- 112€
Video Card :Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB WINDFORCE OC 6G Video Card-300€
Case : Phanteks - Enthoo Pro ATX Full Tower Case- 110.45€
PSU : XFX - XTR 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply- 95.52€
Extra Case Fans : Corsair - Air Series White 2 pack 52.2 CFM 120mm Fan- 24.90€

Total Cost : 1,405€

My budget is about 2,000€ but I also want to get Windows, a Monitor, Keyboard/Mouse etc.

My worries / Reasons I am posting this :

- This CPU is one of the most expensive I found and I assume it's one of the best but I think it's an overkill because I have seen people on youtube building gaming PCs with CPUs that cost 100€ or even 200€ less.

- Is the 1060 6gb worth buyng in 2018? I have read everywhere that it is the best Video Card for its money but The Resident Evil 2 Remake system requirements came out and the 1060 is in the recommended list. That makes me assume that this GPU won't be able to run the newest games for much longer.

- Is it better to get a cheaper CPU so I can get a newer GPU like the 1070 or the 1080?

- What do you think of this list in general. Is there something that is too overpriced and I could get something similar for less money? Or is there something that's not so good and I should get something else?

- This is the monitor I want to get : Asus - VG278Q 27.0" 1920x1080 144Hz Monitor . I want to put both the pc and my ps4 on it. What do you think of it?

Thanks for your time !

Will ypu over clock cpu?
Yes, change mobo to z370
No, change to 8700 non k

Also dont buy cheapest mobo

Gtx 1060 can handle 1080p 60fps, for 144 fps,
Change to gtx1070 at least.

Cm 212 is okay, dont expect going high overclock, no oc?, no worries.
