ohh another question. will that power supply support 3 of those video cards? going single at first. was just curious how it would run in tri sli later on

The only thing wrong with the i7 965 extreme is its outrageous price. You can easily match or exceed the performance of the 965 with the 920 by overclocking, so unless you are swimming in cash and want to get a super overclock there is no reason to spend extra $700 for it. You would need a good watercooling system in order to make that a worthwhile investment.

If you want to do tri-sli with GTX 285's, then I would get the Corsair 1000hx at the very least, I might even step it up to this to be sure all your bases are well-covered:

If you wanted Tri-SLI you would also have to get a different mobo, I would do this one if you really want to keep that option open:

But honestly I think that is a huge waste of money unless you want to play on 30" monitors...2 gtx 285's should be enough for any single monitor out there for a while, and when they aren't it would be better to just buy the next best card out there than trying to build a system now than can support 3way SLI and a 1200w PSU...

I didn't use SSD's in my build, Velociraptors are 10000rpm HDD's that have been out for a while and are reliable. But they just cost a lot right now so you could leave them out if you didn't want them.
