Questions about OS and mobo change

Hello,

So im upgrading my brothers pc with a new mobo, cpu and ram.
Atm he has windows 7 on his pc but hes changing to windows 10.
My question is do i have to uninstall/delete anyhting from the HDD (he only has 1)?
Or is it just a matter of installing the parts and install windows 10?
Or is there any other prep work needed before installing the new parts?

I would backup any important data or programs from the HDD first. Windows 10 should perform an update on the computer, but there is always a chance of problems, or clicking the wrong option and losing all the data...

Well you cant copy the programs then put them back later. Better if you do a clean install. And backup documents / photos.

Then reinstall Win10. if you want to use it. Then reinstall programs after

Less chance of things stuffing up

Basically, building a new system.

Build it first, then install the new Win 10 OS with the new hardware.
Of course, this will require a fresh install of everything else.

Yeah i gave him a usb to back important things up. So other than that its just: backing up - installing new parts - booting up - placing windows 10 cd and windows does the rest?
