Questions about overclocking XFX HD 7850 2GB DD

Hello! So I bought this HD 7850 2GB DD (http://products.xfxforce.com/en-us/Graphics_Cards/AMD_Radeon%E2%84%A2_HD_7850/FX-785A-CDJC) the other day, and have to say it's pretty cool. I'm running at 1360 x 768. I noticed that in Battlefield 3 on it's ultra preset with AA Deferred set to 2X MSAA or off, I get 60 FPS but sometimes, it goes down to 45 - 55 FPS. So I was thinking that I may overclock it. I'm not sure if I will yet, but if I do, what would be the best way to do it? AMD OverDrive? Can I get close if not identical performance to the 7870 2GB? Would overclocking this card be safe? Also, what are the recommended overclock settings for the 7850? Will it be worth it? Thanks!

Overclocking a GPU is VERY safe and quite easy. It will not reach the same performance levels of an overclocked 7870 (obviously) but it would help you out a lot.

Hey, Thanks for the reply! I set my overclock settings to the following:

I get over 60 - 70+ FPS in Battlefield 3 on Caspian Border maxed out. Originally I got 50 - 60 FPS. Here are my temps:

Is this ok? Did I overclock too much? Thanks!

Nope that's a great overclock. I would recommend setting the fan speeds to auto so they cooled it more.
