Hi,
Initially some helpful guys around here advised me to buy the Seasonic S12II-520 Bronze 520W. It had plenty of positive reviews and I found lots of info about it all over the interwebs. Now the price is skyrocketing in my region and I can't no longer afford it.
I need to make the order asap in order to not lose the 30 days on the other components. I'm pretty close to it, I already bought an SSD, an i5 4460, mobo, ram sticks, case and all that good stuff 25-ish days ago or something.
Here are my new options:
Seasonic SSR-430ST 430W - from the eco series; that's atm my #1, but I can't really find any full-sized-reviews or info about it, apart from a few small mini-reviews from ppl who bought it, but...it's Seasonic, that's my whole plan.
And my second option would be Corsair Builder Series CP-9020046, 80 PLUS® Bronze, 430 W, PFC Activ, ATX 2.3.
Other PSU that have good price/sales and I can afford in my country:
- Thermaltake TR2 S, 80+ 500W
- Antec Basiq 500
- Cooler Master B-Series B500 500W ver.2
- EVGA 430W 80 Plus
- Super Flower SF-550K12XP v2 550W (modular)
- One particular Corsair, "VS" series, 450W, but I can't really find info about how good it is - also int's not 80 certified, but it has 85% eff.
+ lots of Chieftecs and Sirtecs that are on sale but I would like to stay away from Sirtec. I had one in a previous build, it only said "High Power", no Sirtec logo whatsoever and it sucked really bad and died after 1 year.
What to pick? Also, I saw that the 430W PSUs only got one 6 pin PCI Express, so I guess that's only enough for a GTX 960, right? I would get a 960 in the near future, but was also hoped for a 970. Please discuss only about the PSU that I linked and what's my top GPU that I can pick with these? Thank you a lot!
