Hello guys im thinking about buying an SSD for my gaming PC and i have 2 questions:
1)Can i transfer my Windows 10 to the SSD and keep the rest of the files on my HDD so i dont need to reinstall anything? Also will my games and all that work after that?
2) im in a 70euro budget can you recommend a decent SSD at this price?

Solution

1. That v300 SSD is on the 'no buy' list. It has issues.
What IS available where you are?

2. No, you can't move 'just the OS' to the new drive. You can't pick and choose what pieces get cloned over.

For a new drive, you have 2 options - clone or clean...

1. This depends.
What size SSD, and how much used space is current used on the old drive?
Steam games can be moved or redesgnated as to location. Other applications will need to be reinstalled.

2. The Samsung 850 EVO 250GB is currently EUR 82,88 at Amazon.de.

I just want to store my OS on the SSD and everything else on my WD Caviar Blue 500GB also im currently using about 200GB on my HDD.So as the majority of my games is on Steam will i be able to copy my windows to the SSD and keep the games on the HDD and just reinstall GTA V wich is on social club?I found the Kingston V300 120Gb for 60 euros in a shop is it any good?Unfortunately i cant buy from Amazon or any sites that are outside my country right now because of capital controls.

For a new drive, you have 2 options - clone or clean install

Cloning - this requires that the new SSD be larger than the current used space on the C partition of old drive.

Clean install - This is just a whole new OS install on your new drive.
This requires you have the install media and the valid license key.
