Questions about using my HDD as my storage now that I have a SSD

So I reinstalled windows on my ssd, I'm just not sure what to do now my HDD should I just make two programs files for 32/64 bit in them? Is there anything else I should make in it.

Also is it worth directing my documents, downloads, and all that to my hdd or just leave it as it is on the ssd.

I have a boot SSD and use an HDD as storage/backup. I backup my system to it and have another SSD as my mass-storage for files I use regularly.

Just reformat the drive and assign it a new drive letter (D is my choice for mass storage but it really doesn’t matter). Create some folders like “Downloads” and “Documents” and direct files to save them accordingly. You could also put some games on it to keep free space on your boot SSD.

Its a 250gb, so I guess I'll just make a games folder then and install the games there and just keep everything else on the ssd.

Is there a document/post for the scenario: so you bought a new SSD, do these things in this order. The thought of having to back so many different things up from windows documents/pictures/downloads to Steam games is very daunting. It doesn't make things any easier that I already have 2 extra internal HDD's installed so my games are a mess.
My Steam library is quite large especially with all the save files etc. is the consensus to put all of steam, every game and file on the SSD with the OS. I intend to put my downloads and pictures on a spare HDD. Are there other programs that really should be installed on the SSD? What about web browsers etc?

There isn't a specific documentation or post, because everyone's needs and drive space config is different.

The OS and al or ost of your applications should go on the SSD. That's why you have it, for the speed.
This includes browsers, AV, all those little utilities...

All your games on an SSD can be costly.
But moving Steam games is easily done.

Steam games location
In the steam client:
Steam
Settings
Downloads
Steam Library Folders
Add library folder

To move an already installed game
Games library
Right click the game
Properties
Local Files
Move Install Folder
-------------------------------

Stuff like video and music, have those on the HDD's. A movie doesn't play any faster being on the SSD.

In my realm, everything is on an SSD, except movies, music, downloads, and other large static things.
That stuff lives on the little Qnap NAS box.
