From 240v to 110v, would it be ok for 100w on the converter if my electronics device is 62-65w? Or should I go for 300w?
I hear some says I can times the wattage with 1,5 and others say the converter should be 2-3 times higher than you need. What is right? I saw a converter at 100w, but the manual said 100w was only for an hour, for longer use it said no higher than 70w.

Anyone know how safe they are? I was thinking about this one https://www.maplin.co.uk/p/240v-to-110v-300w-voltage-converter-vr05f for a us laserdisc player.
Do laserdisc-players use a lot of wattage when you turn it on?

Solution
Would not expect a laser disc player to need a lot of power.

Therefore 300w should be fine.

Check your player's specifications (62-65w....?) to be sure.

Not sure about the reference to "100w was only for an hour" - sounds more to be a UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) reference of some sort.

Better to exceed the converter wattage requirements than be too low or even marginally close.
