Hello TH community, I am going to purchase a CPU cooler soon, but I have a few questions before I do.

1. What is the difference between these two coolers?

Cooler 1: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103065&cm_re=cpu_cooler-_-35-103-065-_-Product

Cooler 2: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099&cm_re=cpu_cooler-_-35-103-099-_-Product

2. Are either of those coolers capable of fitting into my Case?

My case: http://www.rosewill.com/products/2480/ProductDetail_Specifications.htm

3. Are either of those coolers compatible with my Mobo? My mobo is an ASUS M5A97 R2.0

4. Will either of those coolers be able to sufficiently cool an FX-8320 overclocked to 4.2 GHz?

The difference is that the Hyper212 EVO costs $5 more, for maybe 1C better cooling, making it a bang/buck Loser which is not worthwhile.
Either will fit your case.
Either should fit your mobo. Taking a FX-8320 to 4.2GHz is not extreme; either cooler should suffice. Get the cheaper one.

Let's assume that I want to play games such as Far Cry 4 and Battlefield 4 on full ultra and my CPU generates the heat associated with that performance. Would the thermal paste that comes with the cheaper cooler be sufficient, or should I buy something such as this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835100007

I believe CM uses a similar-quality paste with both of those coolers. If you think you might need to remove / reseat your cooler, or if you will be building other PCs, buying a tube of AS5 may be worthwhile. Be advised that if there is a Radio Shack or MicroCenter near you, it may be easier, quicker, and even cheaper to go pick it up there.

Just to confirm what you said, you believe that the thermal paste that comes with the cooler is of equivalent quality to the artic silver thermal paste? If that's the case then it looks like I'll be getting a great deal with that cooler.
