Actually, what Bill did in the "fraud" situation Stan keeps bringing up was
agree to adjust the sale price for the New Windsor property, and the rent as
well, to help the purchaser in some way. The result was a wash financially
for USCF. Bill checked the transaction beforehand with a lawyer who advised
him that it was ok. I don't think this constitutes fraud. Nor does it
justify character assassination, which Stan is getting very good at. Tom,
you have a good nose for B.S. so you should know that saying something over
and over again, in strong terms, doesn't make it true.
Another point: I don't claim to know what went on between Stan and Ken
Thomas (who lives nearby and is a friend of mine). Whatever it was did not
justify Stan airing the minutiae of Ken's performance (and coming close to
libeling him) in this newsgroup. A classy guy would not do that.
Stan used to be one of my favorite posters here, our differences
notwithstanding. His lambasting of Ken Thomas (and ironically not of Bill,
which he has done as far back as I can remember) is what got me thinking
that maybe Stan is a bullshit artist, or that he has a personal agenda (he
wouldn't be the first person on this board to have one). I'm not saying he
is a B.S. artist or not, just that to me, Stan's modus operandi does not
inspire confidence.
As for our little run-in last year, rest assured I didn't mean what you
think I was implying, except as a (perhaps very bad) joke. I'm sorry my post
offended you.
