Hi guys,

I have a workstation pc that I want to setup as just basic network storage. Just curious what some people's recommendations for this are. Ive heard about freenas and such but don't know a ton about it. Just want something simple and windows based.

It wont be for streaming or anything. I just want to save life's precious moments on two mirrored drives or a simple raid or maybe some sort of drive syncing schedule but don't know whats the easiest and most recommended option.

Also, a simple way to remote into it.

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Yep its windows.

So if I used syncback free

Im working on family pictures on my personal pc. My normal operation is to drag them over to my network drive when I'm done, for storage. In this case it will be the new workstation pc for storage. When syncback hits its schedule, it will copy those files over to the second drive?

Exactly.
Just identify the Source and Target folders, and let it do its thing.
