Questions on installing a graphics card

I just have a question when installing a graphics card how much force would you say is safe to push it in? When I try to install mine it goes in but it takes quite a bit of force and bends the motherboard a little and I'm worried it's causing damage. Is this normal?

Solution
If the motherboard risers aren't directly below the the PCIE slot then sure, it may bend the board a little.. the card should actually CLICK into place because usually there's a hinge/hook/clip at the rear of the slot and the bottom corner of the card should have a little hole for this hinge/hook/clip to click into place.

the board bending does seem like a bit much but if the slot has never had anything in it it's like a virgin, break that hymen yo
