I'm doing a new build, and am not sure what size PSU to get. I'm looking at either an 850w or 1000w 80+ gold or platinum (EVGA G6 or P6)

The specs of the system are:

5800x
B550 Unify MB
64 GB PNY DDR4 3600 RAM (4x16)
MSI 6950X Gaming X Trio
EK 360 Basic AIO
4 - 140mm Arctic P14 fans
3 - 120mm Arctic P12 fans

Not doing any overclocking on the CPU or GPU. Just some streaming, video editing and gaming (4K, if that matters)

The price difference between the gold and platinum G6 is about $70. And the P6 is about $45 more than the G6 versions. The cost is no big deal. I just want to get the best one for my build.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Look at the sticky at the top of this sub forum for a nice hierarchy list.

You can use such as Outer Vision calculator to give you a rough idea of requirements for the system as a whole. Typically, GPU manufacturers overstate the amount required "6950X PSU requirements" such as a one size fits all (systems) answer.
