I have begun tinkering with overclocking my ryzen 2600x.. I get Ryzen master (RM) I look at it and it says its already overclocking to 4.1 ghz on like 1.48 volts by itself.. So I go on cinebench 23 and it reads my speed as only 3600. So I go through running of it on multy core and I get score of 7655. Then I manually overclock 1.44v to 4150 ghz on RM and the score is 8100.

So was the self clocking of Ryzen before I use RM only overclocking when I am idle doing nothing and when I run benchmark it turns off?? Or was it never overclocking at all? On CPUZ it was reading the same 'self oc' as RM before the manual change in RM.

Bit weird and is it better to use RM to turn on and off oc to perform demanding use like video editing or video to dvd programs and turn off after or go through BIOS? Or use RM to get a stable speed to volts and use those numbers in the BIOS so I know it wont mess up?

Thanks
