[SOLVED] Questions on specifics with buying ram upgrades.

My ram is Gigabyte Aorus 8GB x2 (16GB) Memory 3200MHz DDR4 when going to buy upgrades for said ram I ran across 2 different "types".

Gigabyte AORUS RGB Memory 3200MHz DDR4 16GB (2x8GB) Kit PC Memory GP-AR32C16S8K2HU416R

GIGABYTE AORUS RGB Memory 3200MHz DDR4 16GB (2x8GB) Kit with Exclusive 2Xrgb Demo Modules (GP-AR32C16S8K2HU416RD)

Same basic types of ram, but one slightly different size (by a very tiny margin) but one has extra Modules to it?

I'm not sure which specifically I have, or how I can tell which between the two I have. I just want to upgrade to 32GB right now without buying 32 right out. I have 2 extra slots so just wanted to fill them for now. So my question overall is will it matter which one I get if it will bother the other if it's not the same as what I have say I buy the one without the Demo if it will cause issues if the two I have do have the Demo Modules.

Thank you in advance for any advice, help, and taking the time to answer. =)

I would recommend installing Thaiphoon and using that to get the exact model of your RAM. In my opinion these models are way overpriced (about 70$ overpriced). Read a tutorial on how to use Thaiphoon to discover your ram model and look for ram of that model.

If it is aorus,

https://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-3200MHz-Exclusive-Modules-GP-AR32C16S8K2SU416R/dp/B07FFBWPWT

Here's the same thing you posted but cheaper, at 133$, which is still overpriced to me. I got my 32GB (2x16GB) Corsair Vengeance LPX at 3200MHz 16-18-18-36 for 145$.

Just make sure whatever RAM you're getting, that it has the same CAS Latency timings. That's the 16-18-18-38 you see in the description on the amazon page.

Those DEMO modules are just dumy ram sticks. They have no capacity, but they have RGB to make your PC look "cooler".

It doesn't matter which you buy, however Id opt for the 2 stick one since you dont need the extra dummy sticks.
