Ok so i know how to remove it but more specifically do i have to remove the entire motherboard just to remove and apply this stuff or can i just put the case on its side and remove it like usual and then reapply some with all my components attached and the pc unplugged. I have the stock paste from my h100i and want to upgrade it to PK-3 Thermal Compound so i can keep my temps down in the summer.

Solution
Leave the board in the case . Just be careful you dont spill any cleaner or paste onto the mb

PS do not be surprised if changing TIM makes zero difference to your temps
ok because its an itx build and its pretty hard to get the board out. Will i notice any difference in temps with the compound i listed from the stock paste from corsair or will it be the same

Well i would rather know that my cpu has a more high grade paste then what the company sent. I have an AIO water cooler so maybe i will notice a difference and if not its 7 dollars that not breaking the bank
