Questions Regarding My New PC Components

Hey. So I am going to be upgrading some of my computer components and just had some questions about it.

    ■ Will this Processor perform well in terms of gaming?
    ■ Will this Processor bottleneck my current or future graphics card?
    ■ Is the motherboard worth the price or should I wait until the new cheaper Coffee Lake compatible 'H' or 'B' series motherboards are released?
    ■ Will I need to change anything other than the MOBO and RAM to be CPU compatible?
    ■ What do I need to know about when I upgrade these components? (about OS, other component problems, stuff like that)
    ■ Is there anything significant that this Processor (or whole rig) couldn't do?
    ■ What is your opinion on these changes/the upgraded computer (don't need to answer this one as it's more like a discussion question)

NEW PC SPECS

CPU - Intel Core i5-8400
MOBO - Gigabyte Z370 HD3 (or other Z370 MOBO)
RAM - Corsair Vengeance LPX 8 GB (2x4 GB) DDR4 2666 MHz

(anything else remaining same as current)
CURRENT PC SPECS
CPU - Intel Pentium G3260
GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti (MSI)
MOBO - Gigabyte H81M-S2H
RAM - 8GB Single-Channel DDR3 1600MHz
STORAGE - 1TB Seagate ST1000DM003 Barracuda HDD
OS - Windows 10 Pro

(anything else required please tell me)

Also, yes, I know my Graphics Card isn't the latest and greatest however I am planning to get an NVIDIA 10XX Series (1060 or greater) in the coming year or so. I just felt as though I should upgrade to a new CPU now to stop the horrendous bottlenecking problem my PC currently faces.

Thanks :)
