Having never used optical connection.
Will the S/pdif port on my motherboard fit / connect with an optical cable?
Current motherboard is this.

The speaker system you have should've come with an optical cable. That being said, yes the cable you've linked will work when trying to pair the motherboard to the speakers.

The connector on both the motherboard and speakers are the same.

The only time I've see a different connector for optical audio is when they use the 3.5mm jack, and I've only seen that on Apple products and a few laptops.

I have not been able to find a definitive answer to, will that type of optical cable fit with the S/pdif port on my motherboard.
