I basically need someone to help me decide between these two laptops.

Acer is also known as Aopen, and thier chipset division used to be called Ali. I'm not a fan.
On the other hand, I've just spent several days trying to set up an HP scanner, for a friend. It will only work if you register it. You can only register it, while loading the drivers. They do not seem to have the ability to register that product, or maybe 15 tries isn't enough. Come to think of it, I had the same problem with one of thier printers. I'd take the Acer if I had to.
