I recently got a i5-4590 with asrock z97 anniversary edition. I would like recommendation on a very quite cooling fan. the stock fan is too loud. I am willing to spend as much as 50 dollars. currently i see people around the community using Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan. I would like to know how quite it is, and if possible are there better performing fan for more expensive price. I priority quietness and quality, cost is not an issue.

update:

I do not OC, i would like a nice and fancy pc, that is quite and stay on low temperature.
Currently I only have the intel stock fan.

No, CM EVO 212 is not the quietest around, nowhere near. Noctuas and Phanteks are quiet, NZXT T40, Scythe Katana 4 or Xigmatek DK SD1283 are other quiet options, all under your budget. I'd get the Noctua or replace the CM EVO's fan with a quieter Noctua fan. Xigmatek DK is a great value/money too.

The 212 EVO is fairly quiet. It is a good cooler if you aren't going to overclock. Maybe you can try it and then if you think it is too loud, replace the stock fan with a Noctua.

I want the most quite fan. Canada computer is near by, but if i return items, they will charge me a 10% restocking fee. i prefer not to return items. Just want to hear from people's experience about a very quite fan.

The be quiet dark rock pro 3 is another great choice, just under 25db and it tends to blend a bit better with most builds. scratch that just noticed the budget. Nonetheless the CM Evo is a good choice, its nearly silent at low RPM's.

The Noctua NH-D14 is about as good as it gets with air cooling. It runs quiet and temps are great, the only downside is that it is huge.

I decided to shop for Noctua NH-U14S. I will also talk to the local sales man and see what he say. Might seem odd to have a good fan for no OC computer. But i really like a unique build. to me building a pc is an experience and I like a quite and cool machine. Thanks everyone.
