Quick fan direction question.

I have two case fans, top and rear, near the CPU. I'm new to building so I accidentally had them both on exhaust so there's absolutely no intake inside the case. Right now I'm getting CPU heating issues 2 weeks later and I want to rule the fans out first. Should I switch one to intake and/or get more fans to place in the front? Also another quick side question, does overheating ruin the grade of thermal paste? My computer shut down a few times due to heating.

CPU - AMD A10 7860k w/ stock CPU cooling
Fans - NZXT s340 Elite case stock fans

Solution
The thermal margin is the amount of headroom available not the temperature.

High thermal margins are good , low thermal margins are bad.

Yours is fine.

Alright. Cool. I'll move the top to the front right now. Would it be more optimal/quieter if I got more fans? And since my CPU overheated a few times should I replace the thermal paste too?

Alright I moved the fan. AMD Overdrive says 65°C - 70°C for the thermal margin. And I'm reaching those temps just typing this. The HSF is spinning so I assume it's working, but I'm going to reseat everything now.
