QUICK HELP! ASUS Crosshair hero Vii wifi.

Hey guys,

Throwing together a build tonight haven't done one in 6 years. I'm going good until the hooking up portion.

The Processor which I have is a AMD Ryzen 2700X combo with an Asus ROG Crosshair Hero Vii Motherboard.

I'm hooking up the CPU processor and it looks like it's an 8 pin + 4?? Is this correct??? Problem is my power supply looks to have ZERO +4 pin connectors.

Is it ok to use a 2+2 to make that 4??? Is that +4 Even neccessary to run the Ryzen 7? Didnt come with a manual!

That +4 is for serious overclocking, if you have an 8 pin EPS (sometimes labeled CPU) power connection, just use that.
Thats weird it did not come with a manual.

So the other +4 next to the +8 Isnt needed? That's basically I fo OCIng? Which I wont be. So for sure I dont need a +4 hook up with the +8?

Page 49 (section 2-7)in the manual (linked above) lists it out for you.
That 4 pin is entirely optional.
