I have a old computer running DDR-400MHz PC3200U ram and want to know if I can replace it with the ram out of a server which is 2Rx8 PC2-5300E-555-12 or with DDR2-800?

Solution
Probably not.
Do you have the specs for the motherboard?

The server RAM is probably ECC RAM & while there are a few exceptions, most motherboards are only designed for a single type of RAM (either DDR, DDR2, 3 or 4).

You'll probably find it won't even fit in the slots. Generally if it physically fits there is a reasonable chance of it working.
