I'm using the Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C4D on a Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R. The voltage settings for the RAM are a little vague in the BIOS so I'm hoping someone might be able to shed some light for me. I've looked at the packaging and on the website, but I can't figure out what the default voltage settings are for this RAM. This value is not listed in the BIOS anywhere that I can find. Under DRAM voltage, it just says normal. The options I can change to are +0.1 increments to the voltage. My concern is that I have no idea what the voltage is at to begin with. Lastly, I have not been able to find the maximum recommended voltage for this RAM. Thanks in advance for any help.

Gigabyte RAM default voltage begin at 1.8v. If your RAM need 2.1v then set +0.3v. Check again with everest or other software for monitoring RAM voltage.

Looking for a little more help. I've finally got the time with this holiday to work on my overclock more. I got the trial version of Everest, but I am not exactly sure where to look on it for my RAM voltage. Also, curious if anyone knows any other programs that would show this that are just for RAM monitoring that would be a bit simpler.

What I've found now is that in my bios under PC Power and Health, it shows the RAM Voltage. When I had the Voltage set to "Normal" it showed as 2.0 volts, not the default 1.8 mentioned above. When I set it to +0.3V, it booted up and showed 2.24V on the PC Power and Health line in my Bios. So I now have it set to +0.1V, and it is back to reading 2.00V in the bios.

Further, does anyone know during which tests with Prime95 I should be at all concerned about the RAM settings? I'm still trying to find stable settings to take my E6750 from 3.30GHz to 3.40GHz. I've only been running Small ETF tests so far.

Thanks in advance.

I usually run low volts on everything then slowly add to find stability. That way you have the rock bottom and now you can work your way up. Do this 1 at a time or you wount know if it is your cpu overclock or ram. I run memtest for 2 or three loops, if it passes that then I run prime 95 blend as it stesses the ram and north bridge quite a bit.
