What does Random 512k and Random 4k mean on Hard Drives?

The measures 512 K Random and 4 K random means how fast 512 kilobyte and 4 kilobyte data chuncks are written and/or read from/to the disk. It is used to compare the performance of HDDs and SSds. The higher the read/write rate, the faster the drive.
