Quick question about mixing RAM

Hello everyone! I am looking to upgrade my ram size, as I am currently at 8 gigs(4 x 2) gskill ripjaws at 1333. I was wondering if I could get away with getting 2 more sticks at 2 gigs instead of 4 gigs, being it is a bit out of my price range/worth. My motherboard is this:

Most likely not.

Mixing kits is a hassle and more so a flip of coin if you can get stability.

If you have a FX chip you want to get a 2x4gb 1866mhz kit.

That board has 4 slots. Did you mean you have 4 sticks of 2 GB or 2 sticks of 4 GB? If the latter, it's possible to mix RAM though not ideal or guaranteed to run.

I currently have 8 gigs and 2 sticks

Mixing can be and often is problematic, mixing different sticks can be even more problematic, if you do try and have problems, give me a shout, can often get them to play with timing and voltage adjustments.

Alright. It will be the same type of ram at the same speed just different gigs, but I appreciate it!
