Quick question about pump Speed

Recently got a new PC and I got a Kraken m22 for cooling my i7 8700k.

Just wondering what a good pump speed is to idle at and under load?
I really don't mind running it at 100% but the specs on NZXT's page say it does 3,000 +/- 300RPM and on 100% its doing around 3600.

Just wondering if I should turn this down a bit. And if I do run it at 100% and my fans are not running fast is that okay? Running it at 100% won't affect the lifespan of it?

I'd love some input on this! Thanks! :)

There's no value on running your pump at 100% all the time, particularly if your fans are at low speeds. You're just moving liquid around quicker and not getting any real benefit from it.

If you're running the CAM software you are never going to get meaningful numbers.

Running anything flat out all the time must surely have an impact on lifespan.

Run it at balanced or Quiet speeds and monitor your temps. I'd use something other than CAM though.

- Balanced regimen between rad fans speed and pump speed is efficiency determinant factor, which depends on amount of heat to dissipate and ambient temperature, many scenarios possible thus AIO watercooler manufacturers advise to run pump at it's default max speed and keep only one variable= rad fans speed,
- I personally run my TT360 pump just below noise level around 70% which gives 50% pump noise reduction with Rad fans at 600 rpm to 1200 for CPU temp < 45
- For CPU temp >45 I run pump at 100% (because it's noise is same for 75% duty and above) and adjust fans rpm 1200 and above.
But most of the time I don't even bother with pump keep it at 70% (as I've never seen my i7-7700k running above 35 degrees yet (knock on chips!) because rad fans even at 1500 are much quieter than pump at full speed.

Appreciate the quick reply!

I'm currently using AI Suite 3 mostly. I tried CAM a bit but its pretty terrible as far as I can tell. I do like the notifications for reaching temps but it doesn't even have the correct fan for the CPU fan speed. And running their overlay playing csgo earlier today was reducing my fps by over 150 frames. No idea why. Btw I have my pumped plugged into the actual pump 4 pin on my mobo if that makes any difference.

I'm brand new to AIO/watercooling so what would you consider balanced speeds? Like is sitting at 3k okay or should I turn it down even farther?
Right now I have it set for around 3k at 60c or less then it jumps up to 90% and then 100% at 75 doing 3600. But from my understanding the i7 8700k runs hotter than some other CPUs and thats normal and okay from what I have been told.
