quick question about usb hubs

Not sure where to ask this, I have a quick question and couldn't find an answer. Does anyone know if you can plug a usb gaming headset, keyboard, and mouse all into a non powered usb hub with an usb extension cord ran across my living room?

Nope, usb extension cables don't often work very well even for a single device. I doubt it will work, especially with a non powered hub.
