Quick Question Before Installing OS using Flash Drive

This is what I was told
Set USB as first boot priority and plug in the USB stick with the Windows ISO image on it.

I have windows 8.1 though and I just want to confirm that it will work still.

It will work. You prepare the stick in the same way as you have already.
