Question Quick question upgrade

Hello i just wanted to ask a question do i need to upgrade my mother board becasue at the moment i have Gigabyte B85+HD3 that was prebuilt when i bought it now i decided to buy a new GPU but the games did not improve or i just need a new cpu the computer is 5years old and i would be really appreciated the specs i have at the moment:


OS: WINDOWS 10 HOME
Processor : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz, 4001 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
RAM: 32.0 GB
System: 64bit
GPU: asus geforce rtx 2060 super turbo 8gb
MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. B85-HD3 (SOCKET 0)
Power Supply : 750W

the gpu was gtx 980 i played on monitor 60hz 1920X1080 resolution i did uninistalled old driver before installing the new gpu the power supplyis fsp power supply 750-50ern 80 silver

Here's the thing.....I think a GTX 980 is going to be able to play just about anything at 60 Hz @ 1080p.

So by going to a 2060.....you have more than your monitor can handle.

To get more out of a 2060.....I think you either need to go to a higher resolution or a higher fps than 60.
 
so i do need to upgrade my monitor becasue the one i'm using won't go further than 1920x1080
In general the 2060 provides way more than 60 fps at 1080p.....but your monitor can only do 60.....so you only get 60.

You could go with something like a 1080p 144Hz monitor.....to take advantage of the higher fps provided......or you could get a 1440p monitor and run probably around 60 fps.

yea i think i'm going to get a new monitor becasue i turned v-syn off and the fps cap the frames are jumping between 70-90 fps and that;s why it looks a bit weird
