Quick questions before I upgrade.

Hello folks.

I'm looking to upgrade my rig a bit in order to run mainly GTA V, and arma 3 fluently.

Specs are:

i7 920 2.67Ghz
GTX 480
8gb ddr3 Kingston RAM
850W corsair PSU
Not sure of the Board.

In order to run these games fluently, if I get myself a GTX 970 OC ed. And (hopefully) OC my CPU to 3.2Ghz, provided the mobo allows me, and hopefully throw in an SSD too, will this all suffice?

Yes, it will.

The gpu upgrade will make a big difference although I suspect it might be held back at times by your CPU. An SSD will improve load times but wont increase fps

if you can oc that cpu then the 970 will pair well with it. as has been said, ssd gives better load times and may help if there is stuttering due to loading during gameplay, but wont influence overall fps.

Is there any particular number I should aim at oc'ing too? I assume my cooling is decent as it keeps the GTX 480 at bay around 70-80'c under pressure and a 50'c idle. At the off chance that I cannot OC it (will check when I get home), would the suggested course of action be a complete rebuild?
