Overclocking depends on more than just the ram. cpu, mobo, cooling, skills, and luck. No 2 chips overclock identically.
AMD overclocking is competely different from Intel overclocking. The exception is nvidia chipset that can link & unlink cpu & ram speeds. With AMD, you find the maximums of cpu, htt (hypertransport) and ddr/ddr2, then you use a compromised overall maximum of the 3. With Intel, you just up the fsb of cpu which is linked to ddr2 mhz at a ratio.
Thanks for the info. Do you know of any websites that would act as good ''guides'', for lack of a better term, for AMD overclocking? i.e. which products seem to work well together, ect..
