2 things,

1. The recommended specs are,

CPU - i7-3770
I have a - i5-3570K

GPU - GTX 970
I have a GTX 970 ME

Ram - 16GB
I have 8gb at the moment, but will be upgrading to 16gb soon.

So my main concern is my CPU. Will it be enough to run Shadow of War pretty well? I don't really demand all my games to be on Ultra. High would be nice though, with maybe this or that on Medium. But I can't stand low frame rate.

I don't overclock the CPU as I don't have that kind of knowledge and it's a 5 year old CPU. I'd hate to fry it or whatever can happen. So was debating if I'd be ok, and just need to up my RAM. Or if it might be time to get a new CPU (And motherboard if I'm upgrading the CPU, as my Asrock z77 Pro3 is just as old).

2. Also, on a side note, does faster RAM give more FPS or anything like that? I have 2x4 DDR3-1333 RAM. And I know I could get 2 x 4GB DDR3-1866 for like 50 bucks, but then that'd slow down the RAM to match my 1333 RAM (If I remember correctly)

But if I can get a bit more FPS with the 1866 RAM, It might be best to just spend 100 and get 2x8 DDR3 1866 RAM and take the old ones out.

Sorry for the long post, and few questions, thanks for any and all help!

2x8 wouldn't be bad. As long as you're in dual-channel its fine. I suggested 4x4 because in my experience its a little cheaper.

You could easily overclock that CPU if you buy a different cooler than the stock Intel one. I have an i7-3770K right now and overclock it to 4.3Ghz. Anyways, overclock or not, I don't think the CPU is the limiting factor in playing this game.

Wouldn't a 2x8 be better? I've heard it depends on your motherboard or something. But never really hear about 4x4. Mainly 2x8.

But thanks for the CPU info, maybe I'll look into Overclocking.

You could get a cheap cooler like a 212 Evo and OC that to 4.2-4.4Ghz pretty easily. And that cooler is less than 30 bucks.
