I just put my 1st new system in 6 YEARS together using this RAM:
SUPER TALENT 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model T800UX2GC4
and this board on a 6750 CPU:
GIGABYTE GA-P35C-DS3R
The BIOS is different that the book at F2 I think.
I want to know what to set the timings and voltage at. The reviews at newegg say to set them at stock timings 4-4-3-8, and to use 1.9-1.95v. They say that the advertised 2.2v is not needed.
I feel like a total noob, but I don't want to make an expensive mistake. The system POST'ed fine for the 1st boot, but no tweaks or optimization modes are being used yet. I really want to go slow on this. I do not want to overclock the system at all.
