So awhile back I asked about which parts I should use for my first build for light cad/inventor/solid works for $300, here's an update on what a I went with, and just checking to make sure my wiring looks fine and nothing will blow up lol.
MOBO: Asus A88X-Pro ($53.99 refurb)
CPU: AMD A8-6600k ($79.99)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master 212 Evo ($18 from a friend)
Ram: 2x4gb 2133mhz Radeon Ram ($73.99)
PSU: Cosair CX500 ($25.99 after rebate)
Case: Nzxt source 2.0 ($29.99 after rebate)
HDD: WD Blue 7200 1TB ($53.99)
Fans: 1 rear exhaust 120mm, 2 front intake
(Fans and everything look alright?)
I crossed my fingers and hit the power button, no luck (really depressed here). Then I remembered the switch on psu, flipped it, pressed the power button and it started right up!
Installed windows 8.1 and it seems to be great so far! Thanks again guys, I didn't know anything about this kind of stuff before I came here.
