Quick wipes the File Table / MFT only. (Which is why it is so quick).
Full reads/writes/re-reads each cluster (using multiple patterns usually) aswell, from start to end of a partition. As most drives have good disk durability it usually doesn't reveal bad sectors (marked as clusters) until that section of the disk has really failed.
SeaTools / Data Life Guard / PowerMax are better tools for testing HDDs with.
Low remagnetises the disk (and will nuke everything, MBR, MFT, etc).
(Don't do low level formats without doing 2 zero-fills first, or it'll ruin the drive, or better yet, just don't do low level formats).
