I'm using a laptop with Yahoo Messenger. Wanted to add some video to chat on
Yahoo messenger and bought a Linksys wireless cam which is great and I'm
well pleased with it except Messenger won't accept it as a webcam. No
matter, I'm still pleased with it as it will be used elsewhere.
So I thought I should get a cam which is guaranteed to work with Yahoo
Messenger, it says so on the box. I bought a 'Logitech quickcam for
notebooks Pro'. Tried to use it with Yahoo Messenger for the first time and
all I get is Apology but will have to close the program and send a report to
Microsoft.
How unlucky can you be?

you reminded me to go download 33mb new driver for that cam 😉
did and now it works on xp-sp2 in msn messenger - dont use yahoo messaging
so can't vouch for that.

Panic over. In desperation I uninstalled the yahoo and re-installed and now
it works fine so it must have been a hiccup of some sort. The picture
quality is good although not as good as the Linksys. My only complaint now
is the refresh rate which is agonisingly slow at 0.7 frames per sec maximum.
Anyone know how to improve this?
