Quickest way to wipe a hard drive

I got a bunch of new pc parts, and I'd like to install windows 8.1 on my new ssd, and get rid of everything on my 1tb hard drive. What is the quickest way to wipe a hard drive?

There are several quick ways to do it.
Go to Disk Management ( http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windows-8/a/disk-management-windows-8.htm )
Find your 1 TB and right-click and delete all the partitions on it until all of the drive's capacity is listed as unallocated.
