quiet casefan

I am searching for a real quiet 80mm fan. I have read some reviews but they all say different things. And I dont trust the db-rating most manufactures put on their fans.

I have heard that ADDA, Nexus and PAPST are doing quiet fans. Any suggestions on wich I should choose. Please allso explain how the noise from the fan is (hmmmmm, srrrrrr, o what ever) You can allso recomend me other brands that you know from experience is good. I like my comp to be quiet, but without watercooling.

Maybe all can make a list of what fans they like most and wich they dislike..

All I hear from my 120mm Nexus fans is airdisplacement, so I guess Nexus fans are pretty good. Only thing I hear from my case is the Radeon 9600 fan and my CPU fan, which is actually going te be replaced by a XP-120 with a nice quiet but powerfull fan.

My PAPST 80mm fans are not audible at all. I literally cannot hear them. They were about $15 apiece so you have to kind of assume they will be high quality
I have yet to find a retailer that carries the ones I have in the US though. I bought mine when I was in Germany a while back. The best alternative I've found here is Panaflo. I have several of their 120mm fans and they are extremely high quality.

I got silenX fans cant hear em even if u try they are like 14db... a lot lower than any companies i think they are like11 a piece

So of the ADDA and the Nexus my choise would be????

both are rated 14db. but can I trust these ratings?

Like I said, my 120mm Nexus doesn't make any noise accept for airflow noise, dunno about the other sized fans from Nexus.

I'd go with a Panaflow fan.

Well. I live in sweden and it seems I will have to choose between adda and nexus. Which is the most quiet and which is the best performer?
