Question Quiet gaming laptops?

Hi.
I decided to switch to a laptop, and I have trouble deciding on which one I should purchase (I never owned one).
My budget is ~£800, and I'm looking for something that can pull decent FPS as well as the ability to go to the library (student) without getting weird stares because of the jet engine fans. Does something like that even exist? After doing some research myself I found the Lenovo y530, is it good? Is it loud?

Pretty much all gaming laptop will exhibit a whirring noise when you tax the laptop with a game. That noise can be amplified when you're running games at higher detail levels. What other options do you have access to? Can you pass on the SKU/link to the Lenovo laptop you've narrowed down? You could look for laptops that have a slightly thicker profile since that would mean they have vents on the bottom and larger/thicker fans to push air at the same RPM(meaning they should be quieter).

Would it be quiet when web browsing or typing in Word?
Also, are external GPUs good?

How about getting a proper gaming desktop and play at your heart's contend when you are back at the dorm, and another thin, light and chic laptop to bump around the campus?
