Quieter version from my GPU?

Hey all, I have Radeon HD 7970 in my system, and I gotta say i really hate the noise the circulating fantype (I really don't know if its called that way) makes, I mean it is very good card but so damn noisy, even when its running at the same temp as my room, its quite loud. So my guestion is if I were to switch to nvidias cards, could I get the same performance level as Radeon HD 7970 but quieter, if so what would be the card? Thanks!

Just swap out for an after market cooling version of the 7970. Be it nVidia or AMD, their reference coolers are always noisy and did I mention, HOT!

I think you most watch some GPU reviews in order to pick the quieter option from AMD. From Nvidia GTX770, or GTX780 if affordable gould be the alternatives
