[SOLVED] Quite the weird problem - Mouse clicks / the lack there of

Within windows apps specifically file manager, my mouse will take two maybe three clicks to do relatively anything, however I've use a click per second test to see if it was my mouse lagging or such. same cpm as I've gotten before this problem. so the problem doesn't seem to be the mouse at all rather the software. I really have no idea at this point.

does mouse have its own drivers?

Does it behave same way in a clean boot?
Try a clean boot and see if it changes anything - make sure to read instructions and make sure NOT to disable any microsoft services or windows won't load right - https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows

if clean boot fixes it, it shows its likely a startup program. You should, over a number of startups. restart the programs you stopped to isolate the one that is to blame.

I would check out your mouse USB polling rate...it may be set too high for your mouse.

You can also try a custom mouse software like X-mouse button control to customize a mouse profile.
