QX2710: Backlight Bleed

Hey all. I'm getting some noticeable amounts of light bleed on my QX2710 and I wonder how I can fix it.

I've already gotten rid of a good portion of it by losening the screws on the back of the monitor but it's still there a little bit.

If I push on the area where the bleed is showing, it gets way worse. So I don't think any type of paper or electric tape being shoved down the bezel is going to fix it.

If anybody could share they're ways on how they got they're black light bleed fixed, that'd be great.

Solution
Massage the display with a microfibre cloth, if it's clouding, which sounds like it. Back bleed is on the edges.

If that doesn't get rid of it, then messing with it may only make it worse. With that said, I have yet to see a perfectly uniform IPS display, and I've seen a lot of them. The only display that came close was when LG released their new TV's which now use local dimming.

You'll often get more uniform color and contrast, as well as a low defect ratio if you use a VA instead. I don't know of any 16:9 144p ones though.

I'll try that when I have time. Massaging? That sounds more like it would damage the panel. How much pressure do I apply?

The blacklight bleed I've noticed is right next to the qnix badge in the center of the screen. Not on the corner if that matters.

I've also poped the bezel off to see if I could fix it. I wasn't able to fix it though. When ever I tried putting a piece of paper down where the bleed was, the bleed would just shoot off to another part of the screen. I also did a very small amount of twisting to see what would happen, and light bleed would disappear from the original spot and pop onto another part of the screen. Anyways, just to let you know. :)

Alright, so I did a bit of massaging, and it works and it doesn't work at the same time.

The good news is that it gets rid of ALL blacklight bleed on one part of the monitor, but makes it 2x worse on the other side of the monitor aswell.

However if I leave it alone, it will just go back to where it's dimm on both parts of the screen. Which I'm fine with if their's no other fix. :)

That's alright. It's pretty dim now so I don't really notice it. Thank you for helping me.
