Hi,
been out of the loop for a while. Im assuming the new 295x2 is a r290x with 2 gpu vs one?
and not even out yet?

is that even worth 2 gpus anymore? going from a 290 to a 295?

Solution
The R9 295X2 is a watercooled card which comes with a built-in 120mm radiator for watercooling. It carries two R9 290X cores with a little bump in clocks. Even with the watercooler this card is running louder than a single 290X with a aftermarket cooler. (it doesn't come in any version without because the pcb would be lava if it ran on aircooling. And yes it's coming to the market soon.

Though i would still recommend R9 290 CF or 780SLI instead. Both options are cheaper. Only if you where planning on R9 290X CF then this is for you.

"Is it worth it?" is a complicated question. For example, if you are gaming on a single monitor, it is already overkill. If you have multiple monitors, it will give you great FPS, but is it better than SLI or crossfire... depends on the game.

I am runnig a 3930k cpu, i hope thats enough cpu power. I think the only games out that I have not played are bioshock series, assasins creed series and borderlands. All others I have played.. COd.BF..etc.. 1200 watt psu.

What resolution do you intend on playing at?
