I'm building a new Ryzen Budget Gaming Rig

I have chosen the parts. Here is it

Ryzen 3 1200
Gigabyte B450 Aorus M
MSI GTX1050Ti 4GB
Corsair VS450
Anted NX200

As you can see i didn't listed the ram. I have found a 8GB single stick Clocked at 2400Mhz from Hyper X Fury which is listed on the QVL. I had earlier experienced a VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE In my Ryzen 3 2200G build because of incompatibility of Ram. This is my second build does the QVL matter to Ryzen 3 1200 or should i go with the QVL listed one. It is a bit pricier than the other 2400Mhz 8GB Sticks. It could cut of a few!

For Ryzen you really want dual channel so look at 2x4gb kits and preferably faster kits 2800+ as Ryzen performs much better with it.

Also I'd highly recommend dumping that PSU, it's very low quality.

Not sure what your paying for that 1050 ti however the RX 570 price has been reduced and can usually be found for cheaper and is a better GPU.

I have a limited budget. The dual channel QVL listed ram costs about 20% more than the single stick and it is a Global product( Needs to be shipped). Or do i need to rethink and get a Ryzen 3 2200G APU and dual channel kit instead of 1200 and dumb the GPU for now. I currently sold my 4 months old 2200G build. I could buy the GPU after sometime. Maybe GTX1060 3GB?

Ryzen loves RAM speed. The faster the better. Dual channel is the best choice, however, if that is what you can afford then that is what you can afford. You will be giving up a little performance, but you can always add another stick of RAM later.

I'm with WildCard on the RX 570 though. That is a much better GPU than the 1050Ti and pretty much on par with the GTX 1060 3GB. In fact the extra 1GB of memory helps a LOT on games with large textures.

I had a Ryzen 3 2200G With Dual channel 2400MHz Ram (8GB). It gaved me VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE frequently. Ryzen APUs are so picky about rams. Thats why I'm trying to get the QVL listed Ram kits.
