Which system would be better thr r5 1400 with the gtx 1070 or the r5 1600 with the rx 580. I will mostly game and will do very little(really very little) content creation.I will use a 1080p monitor.I'm leaning towards the first system because of nvidia's fast sync feature. Will I need any special monitor for fast sync or it it supported on all the monitors. Please reply and thanks to anyone who replies.

if you plan to game at 1440p get r5 1600 and gtx 1070
if you plan to play at 1080p get r5 1400 and rx 580 and freesync monitor

if u cant buy freesync monitor get r5 1400 and gtx 1060

you can still get r5 1400 and gtx 1070 tho .... ur choice

Well the build with the 1070 will do better in gaming, the build with the 1600 would likely do better at content creation depending on the programs you use. I would go with the 1070 build if it were me and overclock that 1400 a bit.

Do you know what fast sync does? It really only works well if your framerate is more than double your refresh rate, so if you have a 60hz monitor you would need to achieve 120fps or more in your games to really make use of it. No you do not need a special monitor to support it. If you went with the amd build you could get a freesync monitor which can be pretty cheap. Freesync is much better than fast sync, it works like g sync, matches your refresh rate to the framerate you are getting in games, so if your game is running at 47fps the monitor is running at 47hz.

where are you buying from, the price difference tween the two proccies are not equal to the price difference between the two gpu s.

id say stretch a bit and pull the trigger on 1070 and 1600

i would say 1 thing. GPU is the one that will be replaced more frequently in a build than a cpu. so if u go for a strong cpu like 1600, u dont have to worry abt it for like the next 4 years. RX580 is still solid for 1080p gaming. and u can expect an even better performing card in the upcoming vega. if ryzen is any indication, expect vega to offer bang/buck too. RX580+free sync will handle the low frame rates if any and free sync is cheaper. but waiting for vega might be worth it.
