hello i have a
r5 1600AF
asus b450m-a
16 gb ram 3200mhz 2x8
gtx 1650 super
1 tb hdd+ 500hdd
when i change my cpu core ratio from the bios form auto to 3.6 or higher the system is stable but when ever i play cod warzone 2.0 or apex legnds i get 100% disk usage and that leads to fps drop makes the game unplayable if i changed it back to auto this never happens ik i got to have ssd but its not the problem here cuz the disk usage 100% only change when i set the cpu core ratio to specific number manually if i leave it at auto the games run fine.
its not a problem for me cuz cpu runs at (3.5 ~ 3.7 ) on it own when set to auto anyway but i just cant find explanation for this 😅

With the info you provided, did you happen to increase the PCIE clock at all? Or did you use the auto settings that might be in the bios? I find that anything that increases the PCIE clock in the bios really starts to mess with storage or wifi or USB if its not stable.

FSB or BCLK clocks can sometimes cause issues with other things related to the system as it overclocks everything like sata, ram, m.2, I would just leave it alone as it can mess with stability is vary different ways.

Overclocking, I wouldn't use the auto stuff in the bios, Manually find the best multiplier that your CPU likes at stock voltage until it becomes unstable, increase the voltage little steps at a time and run CPU stress test and see its stable, keep repeating the process, keep an eye on temps of course.

Good Luck!
