i would like to get r5 2600 to a stable 4,2ghz overclock and was wondering if someone could sugest me a good b450 board to do so, best m-atx (no m-atx available for x470).

and what would be better for cooling - ml 240 lite or dark rock pro 4? (have only these two options)
i know there are benefits to both ways, but curently ml 240 lite is cheaper than dark rock pro 4

Performance difference is minimal and i think not worth to pay 60 € extra and 2600x is not available, every seller sold out

XFR2 and Performance boost2 are best part of X models, also comes with better cooler and practically eliminates need for manual OC. To OC non-x to maximum you need to spend almost as much money for a cooler that can stand it.

I was really hoping to make a small system so it wouldnt take much space on my desk. And as you say - better of with larger case. The more i read the more i find out that ryzen runs a bit hot :)

They all run hot when OC-ed but Ryzen is much better behaved than old FX series. Try to keep it under 75c although AMD says 90c would be a limit. Up to 1.4v it should stay cool with good cooler and environment.
