Question R5 2600 refuses to OC over 4.15 GHz

I tried to get it to 4.2, but it keeps crashing, so I settled with 4.15 for now, as 4 shows as 3.9 instead.
I am not sure, but I think I have it set at 1.45v

Got it to 4.15ghz, you did the good job. You can't oc it to 4.2ghz, you may not get the silicon lottery, or maybe the MB can't handle the oc, or the cpu cooler? because you don't post these.

I use a kraken x52, so I don't think that's the problem

That means the cpu is not the best one, but 4.15ghz is very good too.

Ryzen CPUs just max out at a certain point. It seems 4.15ghz is your CPUs limit.

I agree with the posts above.
I could hit 4.2 GHz on my 2600 But I had to set the voltage to ~1.45v and I was Not going to use that voltage 24/7.
So I settled on a 4 GHZ OC with my voltage set at 1.33 V (iirc) which was only noticeably slower in benchmarks.
In day to day use (gaming, web browsing, video encoding, streaming, etc.) I couldn't tell any difference.
