Hi guys. So recently the Ryzen 5 3500X just have stock and it cost 35$ more than a Ryzen 5 2600 in my country. My question is, should I go for Ryzen 5 3500X with 1x8GB 3000Mhz ram stick (hard to find 2x4GB Kit in my country's market) or a Ryzen 5 2600 with 2x8GB 3000Mhz ram? At this point my budget is kinda tight so I cant go for 3500X with 2x8GB. Main purpose is for gaming. Motherboard is AsRock B450M Steel Legend. Graphic card I'm going to use is GTX1070. Thanks guys.

Solution
You want dual channel RAM. Single channel is too much of a performance hit and will also likely cause stuttering in some games. Also 8gb is not really enough. Therefore the 2600 with 2x8gb.

You definitely want two sticks of RAM for gaming so that your CPU can run in dual channel mode.
16 GB is better for modern games too.

Since actually I'm helping a friend, which he possibly wont be upgrading any soon, or at all. I believe 2x8GB is best pick based on the recommendations by u guys. Thanks guys! Appreciate it.
